Manufacturing Electrician

• Essential Functions: 

  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications. 
  • Troubleshoot, install or repair electrical wiring, conduit, feeders, breakers and other electrical components using appropriate electrical test equipment. 
  • Perform electrical maintenance and emergency repairs, implement modifications, and carry out the facility’s preventive maintenance program during the assigned shift. 
  • Install and repair electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment.  
  • Plan layouts for new electrical wiring installations when required. 
  • Conduct regular inspections of all electrical equipment, including switchgear and motors, as part of the preventive maintenance program.  
  • Maintain electro-pneumatic control systems by adjusting, calibrating, and repairing them.  

• Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: 

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.  
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.  
  • Strong problem solving and mechanical skills  
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule (potentially on call for emergencies)  
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, prints, specifications and Operations and Maintenance Manuals  
  • Must read and write in English 
  • Team player  

    

  Education and Experience: 

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.  
  • 3 – 5 years of hands-on maintenance experience on manufacturing equipment, working in a manufacturing and/or industrial environment. 
  • Familiarity with maintenance management software.  
  • Experience with pneumatics hydraulics, and electronics is a plus  

   

  Physical Requirements: 

  • Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment  
  • Perform tasks such as lifting 50-100 pound with assistance, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up work in a loud/noisy, and industrial, high-volume environment  
  • Physical ability to walk and stand on concrete for the duration of the work shift, in increments of up to 6-8 hours.
