We are actively seeking a dedicated MFG Electrician to server operations day to day in a safe and timely manner. As a MFG Electrician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems, including PLCs, control systems, motors, VFDs, and other complex electromechanical equipment. This role requires performing preventive and emergency maintenance, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all electrical systems in the facility. Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications.
- Troubleshoot, install or repair electrical wiring, conduit, feeders, breakers and other electrical components using appropriate electrical test equipment.
- Perform electrical maintenance and emergency repairs, implement modifications, and carry out the facility’s preventive maintenance program during the assigned shift.
- Install and repair electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment.
- Plan layouts for new electrical wiring installations when required.
- Conduct regular inspections of all electrical equipment, including switchgear and motors, as part of the preventive maintenance program.
- Maintain electro-pneumatic control systems by adjusting, calibrating, and repairing them.
Qualifications
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Strong problem solving and mechanical skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule (potentially on call for emergencies)
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, prints, specifications and Operations and Maintenance Manuals
- Must read and write in English
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- 3 – 5 years of hands-on maintenance experience on manufacturing equipment, working in a manufacturing and/or industrial environment.
- Familiarity with maintenance management software.
- Experience with pneumatics hydraulics, and electronics is a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment
- Perform tasks such as lifting 50-100 pound with assistance, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up work in a loud/noisy, and industrial, high-volume environment
- Physical ability to walk and stand on concrete for the duration of the work shift, in increments of up to 6-8 hours.
