Responsibilities

Essential Functions:
• Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency, prioritizing customer satisfaction by supervising, organizing, coaching, and developing warehouse employees while establishing and monitoring operational performance goals.
• Develop and continually enhance warehouse operating systems, including product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization strategies, inventory controls, gate processes, and shipping procedures.
• Train, mentor, and guide the warehouse team to resolve daily operational challenges and achieve both short- and long-term performance objectives.
• Oversee all daily warehouse activities while effectively managing inventory levels, logistics coordination, material flow, and order accuracy.
• Evaluate and optimize workflows, staffing models, space utilization, equipment layouts, and operational plans to meet or exceed company standards for productivity, safety, quality, and customer service.
• Maintain a safe and compliant work environment by establishing, reinforcing, and auditing safety policies, standard operating procedures, and adherence to local, state, and federal regulations.
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry within the ERP system to support inventory accuracy, material flow and reporting.
• Navigate and utilize the ERP system to audit and correct issues related to job orders, inventory discrepancies, and operational transactions.
• Supervise daily warehouse activities, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping, and customer service
• Schedule and oversee warehouse team, and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime
• Inspect equipment, tools, and machinery regularly, and oversee general maintenance when necessary
• Meet regularly with warehouse leads to analyze productivity and develop actionable plans for loss prevention
• Oversee and manage logistics for transporting products to customers and company facilities, communicating with drivers to ensure efficient delivery of materials
• Conduct interviews for prospective warehouse employees and support hiring decisions in alignment with company standards.
• Administer disciplinary actions in accordance with HR policy, ensuring documentation is complete, consistent, and compliant.
• Conduct daily or shift-based meetings with department staff to communicate priorities, review safety expectations, and address operational updates.
• Approve employee timecards and ensure accurate reporting of hours worked, time-off requests, and attendance.
• Manage employee attendance, callouts, and schedule adherence to maintain proper staffing levels and operational coverage.

Qualifications

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
• Proficiency with SCM+ for warehouses
• License to operate a forklift
• Experience in manufacturing, warehouse OR military environment OR completion of post high school education in manufacturing/industrial
• Ability to communicate in more than one language


Education and Experience:
• Associate’s degree (or equivalent) in logistics or supply chain management
• Three or more years of experience in a warehouse role managing hourly employees
• Proficiency with warehouse procedures and policies
• Working knowledge of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software
• Inventory logistics management skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities
• Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of company staff
• Ability to deliver effective feedback, both written and verbal

 

Physical Requirements:
• Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment
• Perform tasks such as lifting 50-75 pounds at a time, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up work in a loud/noisy, and industrial, high-volume environment
• Physical ability to walk and stand on concrete for the duration of the work shift, in increments of up to 6-8 hours.
