Material Handler/Forklift Operator

We are actively seeking a Material Handler to server the Receiving department and the operations day to day in a safe and timely manner. Essential Functions:

• Take orders from supervisors for order picking activities. 
• Assist in loading and unloading items from delivery trucks. 
• Prepare pallets for handling objects appropriately. 
• Perform pre-checks on electric pallet jacks to ensure that they are in proper working order. 
• Ensure that electric pallet jacks are maintained on a periodic basis. 
• Pick orders from storage areas and verify the accuracy of orders from order sheets. 
• Perform a variety of warehousing tasks such as replenishing pick locations. 
• Perform labeling, sorting, and storing of picked products. 

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

• Strong organizational and communication skills. 
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. 
• Strong problem solving skills 
• Must read and write in English
• The ability to read and understand invoices and storage directions 
• Team player 

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent. 
• Minimum of 2 years order picking experience in warehouse environment.
• Experience in operating an electric pallet jack 

Physical Requirements:

• Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment 
• Perform tasks such as lifting 50-75 pounds with assistance, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up work in a loud/noisy, and industrial, high-volume environment 
• Physical ability to walk and stand on concrete for the duration of the work shift, in increments of up to 6-8 hours.
